2 CBD Mocktails for an Endless Summer

As summer arrives, we have been searching for ways to celebrate the warmer days & finally getting to spend time with friends and family. We sat down with award-winning Chef Holden Jagger, who brings us 3 CBD mocktail recipes for a refreshingly chill endless summer.


Watermelon Turmeric Shrub Syrup

750 grams watermelon, cut into small cubes 

50 g fresh turmeric, peeled and diced

1 tablespoon dried turmeric powder

500 g granulated sugar

480ml champagne vinegar

240 ml apple cider vinegar 

Thai Chilli Turmeric Syrup 

400g sugar

400ml water

6 Thai chilis

50 g fresh turmeric 

1 tablespoon powdered turmeric 


Step 1: Start by putting together your Watermelon Turmeric Shrub syrup. First, combine cubed watermelon in a medium-sized bowl with the chopped and powdered turmeric. 

Step 2: Cover with the 500 g sugar and gently coat the watermelon mixture with the sugar.

Step 3: Wrap and store in the refrigerator for 24 hours. After 24 hours, add the vinegars to the mixture recover and return to the refrigerator for another 24 hours. 

Step 4: On the third day, add the mixture to a pot, bring to a simmer, and immediately strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer, reserving the liquid and discarding the solids. This watermelon shrub lasts for three months if stored properly. 

Step 5: Make your Thai chilli turmeric syrup. Combine all ingredients in a medium pot. Bring to a boil, then let cool. Store overnight and strain after 12-24 hour.

Step 6: Fill a tall glass with ice, set aside. In a shaker combine 60 ml watermelon turmeric shrub syrup, 25 ml Thai chili syrup, 15 ml lime juice, 1 pinch salt, 1 dropper full of Wunder Workshop Turmeric CBD oil, handful of ice. Shake vigorously. 

Step 7: Pour over ice in the prepared glass, then pour 40 ml of sparkling water and garnish with a sprig of mint and dusting of turmeric powder.



Step 1: Fill a tall glass with crushed ice, set aside. In muddler tin, combine the strawberries, simple syrup and the chopped ginger. 

Step 2: Muddle well then add Disciple CBD Miracle Drops, lime juice and grapefruit juice, cover with crushed ice and shake well. 

Step 3: Pour through a strainer, into the prepared glass. Top with ginger beer.



Step 1: Start with making your toasted coconut syrup. Toast 200g dried coconut in a pan over medium until evenly golden brown. Pour 200ml water over the toasted coconut then add 200g sugar string to combine.  

Step 2: Bring mixture to a boil, remove from heat. Reserve in the refrigerator until needed, strain before using.

Step 3: Rim two tall glasses with a lime wedge and then dip in flake salt, set aside. 

Step 4: In a muddling tin, combine blackberries and mint with the toasted coconut syrup. Muddle firmly for 30 seconds.  

Step 5: Add lime juice, coconut milk and Disciple CBD Miracle Drops. Fill tin with crushed ice and shake viciously for 30 seconds. Double strain the mixture between the two prepared glasses pour lime seltzer to the top of the glass.

Before the summer is out these mocktails are a must-try. Perfect for drinks in the garden or dinner for two, they are sure to impress no matter the venue.
